Talia WintersRaised by Psi Corps since she was five, P5-telepath Talia never knew her parents. Her first year in the Corps was difficult, but an older telepath called Abby took her under her wings and helped her through it. During her time in the Psi Corps Academy Talia had an affair with one of her teachers, Jason Ironheart. Still, the Corps had other plans for her. Talia was found genetically compatible with another telepath, Matt Stoner, and the two were married. It wasn't a long marriage, though. Soon after the wedding Stoner left Psi Corps and the marriage was annulled (later Talia found out that Stoner had, in fact, stayed with the Corps, but in secret to hide his enhanced empathic powers). It was during her years in the academy that Talia also made friends with Lyta Alexander when the two interned together. Eventually Talia graduated from the Psi Corps Academy as a fully trained commercial telepath. When Lyta was forced to leave her job as the commercial telepath on Babylon 5 Talia accepted the post and arrived to the station in 2258. In those days she still believed in Psi Corps and this lead to disagreements with Commander Ivanova who distrusted and literally despised the Corps because of what they had done to her mother. It wasn't until Talia was re-united with Jason Ironheart (who was now on the run from the Corps) that she began to have doubts about the Corps. Before evolving into a higher lifeform Ironheart, changed by the inhuman experiments the Corps had done on him, gave Talia the gift of telekinesis and the ability to protect her mind even from a Psi Cop level scan. The following year Talia learned more about the atrocities committed by the Corps when she was contacted by an underground telepath railroad led by Doctor Franklin. While hunting down the railroad Bester tried to get her to side with him, but Talia used her enhanced powers to make the Psi Cop believe that the rogues had been killed. Despite their rocky start, Ivanova and Talia eventually fell in love. Their short affair ended in late 2259 when Lyta, now a rogue telepath on the run from the Corps, returned to the station. She had found out that there was a brainwashed spy in the command staff and that she could find the traitor with a telepathic password. The spy turned out to be Talia. When the password was sent, the personality known as Talia, whether it was her real personality or not, was destroyed and an another one, known only as 'Control', took over. In her last conversation with Ivanova Talia told her that their affair had been nothing more than Control's attempt to gain access to Ivanova's information. The 'new' Talia was sent back to Psi Corps base where she was most likely killed. Episodes: 001, 003, 006, 009, 017-019, 021-024, 028-030, 036, 038, 041 |
