Theresa Halloran
(aka Number One)

As the leader of the Mars Resistance Halloran was known only as 'Number One'. In June 2261 Captain Sheridan contacted Halloran and the other resistance leaders via Doctor Franklin and Marcus Cole, asking them help in the fight against President Clark. The leaders gathered to Mars to hear Sheridan’s proposal, but were quite skeptical of both the need of co-operation and Sheridan's abilities to make true his promise of independent Mars. In the end the resistance leaders agreed to help Sheridan when Halloran, whom they all respected, voted for it. This was not the only form of co-operation Halloran practiced with the B5 rebels - she had an affair with Franklin after the doctor helped her put an end to the unnecessary terrorist activity on Mars.

Halloran fulfilled her part of the agreement with Sheridan when the Captain began the final fight to free Earth. Despite her suspicions she helped to smuggle the frozen telepaths to Clark's ships and when Sheridan himself was captured, she helped to arrange his rescue by offering some of her resources to the disposal of Franklin, Lyta Alexander and Michael Garibaldi.

After the war Sheridan, now a president of the newly formed Interstellar Alliance, kept his word and negotiated independence for Mars. A provisional government was set and Halloran became a member. Still, Earth wasn't going to give Mars away that easily and tried to drown the newly born state into bureaucracy and red tape. Frustrated Halloran turned to Sheridan who promised Mars the full support of the Interstellar Alliance. Not only did he arrange Mars an embassy on Minbar, but he also asked Halloran to join his cabinet as the head of covert intelligence. First thing she did in her new job was to help Garibaldi investigate the corruption in Edgars Industries and simultaneously revenge the mega-corporation for all the damage it had done on Mars.

Joshua Cox
(aka Josh Coxx)

David Corwin

Lieutenant Corwin worked in Babylon 5's observation dome at least from the year 2258. He was promoted to the rank of full lieutenant in 2260, but Commander Ivanova and Captain Sheridan didn't trust him enough to include him in their conspiracy against President Clark. Still, when B5 seceded from the Earth Alliance later that year, Corwin was among those who remained loyal to Sheridan. Slowly Corwin was accepted into the inner circle and eventually he became Ivanova's and later Captain Lochley's second-in-command.

Corwin had a crush on Ivanova, but he was stunned when the Commander asked him to her quarters for a cup of coffee in 2260. In reality Ivanova was merely trying to find out if Corwin was loyal to Clark, but the young lieutenant mistook the meeting as a date. Realising his mistake he managed to blame Marcus Cole for the expensive roses he had brought her.

Keffer

Robert Rusler

Warren Keffer

As a member of the Zeta squadron Lieutenant Keffer took part to the attempt to rescue the explorer vessel Cortez from hyperspace in early 2259. No ship had ever been salvaged from hyperspace, but following Captain Sheridan's orders the starfuries formed a chain from the jumpgate beacon to the ship. Just as the chain reached Cortez with Keffer's fury as the last link a shadow vessel appeared out of nowhere and destroyed the starfury of the squadron leader, leaving Keffer too stranded in hyperspace. In spite of the Shadow interference both Cortez and Keffer were eventually saved.

There was a silver lining in the accident that had cost one man's life - Keffer was promoted leader of his squadron. Still, he was deeply disturbed over what had happened and spent all his spare time looking for the mysterious enemy vessel even after Captain Sheridan had his investigations curbed. In December 2259 Keffer finally found the ship he was looking for as his squadron escorted Narn vessel G'Tok to safety. He broke away from his team and was killed in a confrontation with the Shadows. Still, the records of his contact were salvaged and brought the existence of Shadows to general knowledge.

Lou Welch

David Crowley

Lou Welch

Lou Welch joined the Babylon 5 Security forces in 2257 when the station became operational. He soon made friends with his superior, Michael Garibaldi, and had much respect for him.

In 2259 Welch received a promotion and left the station to become President Clark's personal guard. He didn't stay in that job for long, though, but resigned when the President's involvement in the murder of his predecessor became obvious. After that he moved to private sector and acted as a private security consultant for the next few years, specializing as a tracker.

Welch was reunited with Garibaldi when his old chief contacted him in 2270. Garibaldi, who was now working for the Interstellar Alliance, asked Welch to accompany him and G'Kar to Centauri Prime where they would investigate whether or not the Centauri were building their forces to attack the Alliance. It was during these investigations that Welch stumbled across the Drakh working behind the scenes of the Centauri government and was killed.
