This is an list of individual ships (not types and classes of ships) seen or mentioned in Babylon 5 and Crusade. As my memory is not that good, I'm certain that there are innumerable mistakes on this page. Especially the ships that took part to Earth's Civil War are a bit of a mystery - I'm somewhat confused on which ships defected/surrendered/were destroyed. This page has now been translated into Spanish (off-page link). |

| Lexington | An Earth cruiser that took on mainly low-profile missions because its soon to be retired captain Sterns didn't want to take any unnecessary risks. However, when the Minbari war
began, Lexington too had to take part in the battles. During the war the ship was ambushed and in the short and uneven battle that followed, Captain Sterns was killed. The rest of the crew was saved
by the fact that their ship was so badly damaged that the enemy mistook them to be dead too. For a while the Lexington floated dead in space, unable to even call for help in the fear that the enemy
would intercept the message and return to finish them off. With Captain Sterns dead, the ship was now under the command of Sterns's second-in-command, Commander John Sheridan. It was Sheridan who
came up with the desperate plan to mine the near-by asteroids with nuclear warheads and then send out the distress signal to lure the Minbari into the trap. The Minbari flagship Black Star answered the call and sailed straight into the minefield. The crew of the Lexington was eventually rescued and the of Black Star was considered to be the only

While commanding the Excalibur himself, Sheridan turned over the command of Victory to Leonard Anderson, the captain of Charon. Sheridan and Anderson knew the cloud's Achilles heel, but were unable to get close enough to make a direct hit. After Victory's weapons systems were damaged, Anderson realized how desperate the situation actually was and, in order to protect his daughter who was on Earth, he then gave the order to ram Victory into the death cloud's command center.
